Even while I was in the womb, the Lord had a purpose for me to take the gospel to the nations. Each WMU meeting I attended "with" my mom, I was learning about God's redemptive plan through His Son Jesus Christ and how I was invited to join Him on mission. Even then, I was shaped to keep the Great Commission as my top priority.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday will be observed throughout the Southern Baptist Convention on Jan. 17, marking the 48th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion on demand in America. Sadly, according to the Office of Vital Statistics, there were 3,664 abortions performed in Kentucky in 2019.

COVID-19 makes me cherish life

I urge each follower of our Lord to be careful during this season. The church is essential in helping this world deal with COVID-19 and the many physical, mental, emotional and spiritual challenges it brings. I now understand the heartbreak many people have felt in losing a loved one during this pandemic.

Doug and Joli Cullen: Champions for life

As I thought of this month's theme, "Friends of Life," my mind immediately went to Clear Creek alumnus Doug Cullen (2005) and his wife, Joli. Doug and Joli certainly are friends of life and are two of the greatest champions for life as they lead Choose Life Ministries, traveling the country sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ through the message of the sanctity of human life.
